My name is Jenny Holloway, and my day job is teaching 2nd grade. It's a great job that I'm able to use as an outlet for my art ideas and design desires--plus I get to play with kids all day.:) However, late at night, when the rest of the world is sleeping, I enjoy creating on my computer, painting, and sewing--when I feel like dusting off my machine. I love all of those things, but I don't so much have the time to do them like I'd like to.
My number one job is being a MOM to Crew and Carrington who will be 17 months old Sunday! Ahh! Where does the time go? They are the inspiration behind why I'm finally deciding to give this a go. I have always had it in me, but I've never been brave enough to step out in faith and see where this might take me. I've enjoyed making cards, announcements, etc. for family and friends, and not usually making any profit--I often charge what it costs me to get them printed and shipped. So, in this new venture, I hope to make a little extra cash to pay off some debt, give more to my church, save for a rainy day, and give the rest away.=)
Eventually, I would like to donate a percentage of the profits I make each month to a charity of choice. I have a few in mind that I'm going to start adding to my list (see sidebar), but if you know of any other charitable organizations that I can add, please share!
